Alek Wek is one of the “Leading Ladies” in the Marks & Spencer S/S14 Ad Campaign


A diverse group of influential British women, including South Sudanese born supermodel, Alek Wek are the stars of the new M&S campaign. Titled “Leading Ladies“, the campaign features also features singer Rita Ora, actress Emma Thompson, Baroness Lawrence,, designer Lulu Kennedy, chef Rachel Khoo, and engineer Roma Agrawal.

The campaign will feature four shots of the group - who range from actors to chefs to campaigners and engineers - all photographed in old British settings, including Camber Sands and the Cotswolds.

Launching nationwide on March 31,the SS14campaign which was shot by iconic fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz, focuses on the diversity of the British female population who are united by personal style and inspirational achievements.

'Whether it is through a selfless dedication to a cause, entrepreneurial and creative flair or pushing the boundaries of design, each woman is truly inspiring and unique in her own way,' says the high street giant of its new campaign stars'.
